Update on Volunteer Needs in Ukraine: New Medical Project at Orphanage Set to Begin
As the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine continues, AdventRelief remains committed to supporting the most vulnerable communities, especially the growing number of children impacted by ongoing conflict. This month, we’re excited to announce a new, critically-needed medical project at a large orphanage housing approximately 300 children, including recent arrivals from frontline villages.
Our goal is to ensure that these children receive vital healthcare, and we are currently calling for volunteers with specific skills to join our team in Ukraine:
- Dentist with pediatric experience: October 28 – November 8.
- Dental Assistant: October 15 – November 8.
- Ukrainian Interpreter: October 15 – November 8.
These roles are crucial in helping us provide a safe and supportive environment for the children. Volunteers in each of these positions will play a key role in delivering essential health services, making a direct impact in the lives of these young people.

We are also happy to share that our first international volunteer arrived in Ukraine for this new initiative. Dr. Aidan Gromoll, an experienced pediatrician from the United States, joined us to support this medical project. Dr. Gromoll has a remarkable background in humanitarian work, having previously contributed to AdventRelief projects in Moldova, Greece, and Iraq. Her expertise and dedication will be crucial in setting up and running the program at the orphanage, and we are grateful for her commitment.
With the program launch days away, we encourage anyone with relevant skills or experience to reach out. Each volunteer brings us one step closer to creating a lasting positive impact for the children in Ukraine. If you or someone you know is interested in joining, please get in touch. Together, we can bring hope and essential care to those who need it most.
