Our recent management team site visit to our projects in eastern Ukraine has allowed us to gain firsthand insights into the challenges the region is currently facing. It’s evident that many communities are struggling with limited access to healthcare, a situation that calls for immediate action and support.
In response to these pressing needs, we are making significant strides in our mission to provide essential healthcare services to the underserved regions of eastern Ukraine. Our mobile truck clinics, which are instrumental in delivering medical care to remote areas, have been relocated to the eastern front and are currently undergoing final inspections to ensure they are ready for service. This strategic move will enable us to reach those in dire need and bridge the healthcare gap in these affected communities.
Additionally, we are proud to announce a collaborative effort with MSF Belgium to initiate a dental drive. This initiative aims to bring dental care to villages that have been deprived of such services for a prolonged period. Dental health is often overlooked in humanitarian efforts, but it is a critical aspect of overall well-being. We are committed to filling this crucial gap and ensuring that the communities we serve receive comprehensive healthcare support.
During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting local healthcare providers who are working tirelessly to keep medical services operational in areas that have been ravaged by conflict. Many of these dedicated nurses and doctors risked their lives to protect their patients during the Russian occupation last year. Their selfless acts of courage make them true heroes, and we are deeply humbled by their dedication.
