Home 5 Ukraine 5 Ukraine Update – 29 June 2024

The situation in eastern Ukraine is still desperate, with ongoing fighting resulting in the displacement of thousands of people from villages along the frontline.

While we do all we can to mitigate risk, AdventRelief operates where help is needed the most. While our clinic services continue in the troubled Donetsk region in east, our team have been able to visit new areas in eastern Ukraine this past week that are requesting for help. We’re considering a number of new smaller projects, provided we can obtain funding for them (locations omitted for security reasons):

  • A mental health support program for displaced persons (mostly from occupied territories)
  • Dental and medical services for a number of identified orphanages and care homes
  • Primary care and dental for 26 villages in the grey zones that have very limited access to healthcare.

We’re hoping to open our volunteer program for medical, dental and mental health practitioners as soon as these projects open.
