Our team in Ukraine is currently running a very successful clinic for a large orphanage in an undisclosed location in southeastern Ukraine. The orphanage is home to 200 children and will be receiving another 100 more from the eastern frontline regions soon.
We are conducting full medical and dental checks on all the children. Due to the challenges of the war and the COVID-19 pandemic preceding it, the children have had minimal access to healthcare over the last few years and we have found a number of them with significant medical conditions that have not been diagnosed or managed adequately.
The orphanage is run by a wonderful Ukrainian team that have devoted their lives to creating a home for these children, many who have suffered immensely. Many have disabilities or are survivors of abuse. A number have lost their parents in the fighting, and some don’t even know if their family members are alive or not.
We would like to thank each volunteer and member of our team who have come from afar to make this essential project possible.

This is our first clinic of this nature. There are many more orphanages and care homes in the region that need help, and if we can find further funding we hope to expand this project to cover more of these facilities, and to provide additional services like mental healthcare.
