Home 5 Iraq 5 Iraq Clinic Update: A Heartfelt Goodbye, and Thank You to Our Security Team

We often speak of the importance of community, not just within the clinic, but with everyone we work alongside. Today, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to three remarkable individuals who have been essential members of our team: Mariwan, Tamer, and Mohammed.

Since 2021, these three men have served as the security guards at our clinic. Day and night, they have ensured the safety and security of our facility and allowed us to focus on providing care to those in need. In all this time, their commitment has given the clinic team comfort and reassurance.

Beyond their professional contributions, however, Mariwan, Tamer, and Mohammed have also opened their hearts and homes to us. We’ve shared countless meals with their families in their tents and created memories that will stay with us forever. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality have touched our lives and remind us of the deep connections that can be formed even in the most challenging circumstances.

As they prepare to leave the camp and return to their hometown of Mosul, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks. Tamer, Mohammed, Mariwan—working with you has been a privilege. We wish you and your families God’s blessings as you embark on this new chapter.

We hope that our paths will cross again, Inshallah. Until then, know that you will always have a place in our hearts and in the AdventRelief family.
